⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 0.4.0 is LIVE ⭐ ⭐ ⭐


Hello 👋

After a couple of weeks, I have finally updated Victorian Idle! The new version, named 0.4.0 is live! Let’s have a look at this brand new version together.

This version has been designed to extend the game, right now, but also later. With this version, you can now work on multiple cities at the same time 🎉. Each city will have its own populations, with its own buildings and constraints. To settle a new city, you’ll need to build a shipyard first. As you can imagine, this version is also bringing the first iteration on another new part of the game: ships ⛴️.

Harbour

After you have built the shipyard, you can navigate to the Harbour menu. In this menu, you’ll be able to build Ships, send them to settle a new colony or to go on an expedition, and you can also create some trade routes. Further missions will be available in next releases.

New city: islands

A new city is available. Its name is “Islands”. You’ll have new populations with new buildings, new resources and new challenges. The main core feature of the game remains the same, but on a different environment. A quick view of some new buildings bellow.

* Newspaper is no longer displayed in full screen: there is a pending actions + notification, so you are able to modify the news when you want to

* Fix coin cost display in building's cost row
* Prevent blank screen while loading game on slow network
* Fix error preventing some city incident to start
* Fix city incident not following the right cooldown timer
* One single building can't be impacted by multiple city incidents at the same time. You can still have different instances of the building in fire and in riot at the same time, however, 1 instance will be included in only 1 incident.
* Fix a bug where the number of hospitals was not reducing the impact of a disease

* Improve performances by more than 400% on some screens
* Reduce loading time by 50%
* Background music is less repetitive
* Sign out button is now inside Settings menu
* Peasant color is less aggressive
* Population indicator is more compact
* Error report is now better (I can fix them more quickly)

What’s next?

The target for the next release is to add some challenges on this game. I’ll leverage something called mini-games and puzzle. I won’t tell more, expect see you soon!
